Ever since I was little kid, I’ve been pretty excitable. My parents always said that the reason they sent me to sleepover camp at only five years of age was so that I had other people to share my enthusiasm with. This trait carried over with me throughout my teenage years, but it wasn’t til I was nearly done my undergrad that I realized that enthusiasm had a pr
ofession and it was called marketing. Since then, I’ve thrown myself head-first into the world of digital content and I couldn’t be happier.
What I love the most about content creation is that there are an infinite number of creative ways to grab someone’s attention. Every day I push myself to think outside of the box and create new and exciting ways to draw people in to the story I’m telling. I’m constantly being challenged to break the mold and find brand new ways to be the message that gets people excited. When I’m passionate about something, I do everything I can to get others excited about it too. I value creative content and wise leaders, and I strive to be welcoming and open to every idea – even if it differs from my own. Digital marketing is my favourite way to push myself and to create stories that can potentially have a positive impact on someone else.
In a world that seems to only share negative stories, why not add a little light with some enthusiasm?
Skills + Tools
My past work experience and my time in the IMC program thus far have given me many skills and tools that I believe I will help me become a successful digital marketer. Of course, I hope to continue to learn in every task I undertake, and to push myself to develop as a marketer even further.
Apart from technical skills, there are a few key things that I bring to the table. My peers and co-workers know that I am dedicated and hard-working, but more importantly, they often admire my enthusiasm enthusiastic and how I always have fun with the work I do. I love meeting new people and am excited about collaborating with like-minded individuals as I move forward in my career.
